Phenna Group

Phenna Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Asprel Ingeniería, one of Spain's leading specialists in electrical testing, inspection and verification services.

Asprel will become part of Phenna Group's Built Environment Division within the EMEA region, creating further opportunities for collaboration alongside 4Fores and the Group's wider Iberian operations. The acquisition also establishes a stronger platform for future growth within Spain, one of Europe's most attractive markets for investment in electrical infrastructure, renewable energy and grid modernisation.

The acquisition significantly strengthens Phenna Group's electrical testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) capabilities in Spain at a time of significant investment in electrical infrastructure, grid modernisation, renewable energy and electrification. As power networks become increasingly critical to economic growth, energy security and the energy transition, demand for independent technical assurance, accredited testing and specialist compliance services continues to grow across utilities, industrial infrastructure and renewable energy markets, creating future growth opportunities.

Founded in 2006, Asprel Ingeniería has established itself as one of Spain's leading electrical testing, inspection and verification specialists, supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of critical electrical infrastructure across the country.

The business delivers accredited technical assurance services that help utilities, industrial organisations, infrastructure owners and renewable energy operators maintain safety, performance and regulatory compliance.

Operating across Spain, Asprel combines deep technical expertise with specialist testing capabilities to support customers throughout the lifecycle of electrical assets, from commissioning and verification to condition assessment, fault diagnosis and ongoing compliance.

Manuel Bustos Fonseca, Founder and CEO of Asprel Ingeniería, shared: "When I founded Asprel, my ambition was to build a business recognised for technical excellence, independence and trusted customer relationships. Joining Phenna Group allows us to continue that journey while benefiting from the support of a global group that shares our values and long-term vision. We are delighted to welcome Manuel and the Asprel team to Phenna Group and look forward to supporting the next phase of growth as demand for electrical infrastructure assurance continues to increase across Spain and Europe."

Asprel further enhances Phenna Group's growing portfolio of specialist testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) businesses supporting the safety, integrity and performance of critical infrastructure. The acquisition strengthens the Group's expertise in electrical infrastructure assurance and complements its existing capabilities across the built environment and infrastructure sectors, while expanding its presence within the attractive Iberian market. As Phenna Group's 14th acquisition of 2026, it reflects the continued investment in market-leading specialist businesses while further strengthening the Group's expertise in electrical infrastructure assurance and complementing its existing capabilities across the built environment and infrastructure sectors.
