Headquartered in the UK, Phenna Group has grown rapidly over the last few years to become one of the world's leading Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance ('TICC') businesses by partnering with independent companies serving a variety of key, mission-critical sectors around the globe.
We are delighted to announce the acquisition of ENX, a Dublin-based Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) consultancy specialising in the residential new build housing and retrofit sector in Ireland.
ENX will join Phenna Group's Built Environment Division as a bolt-on to BET, further strengthening the division's end-to-end capabilities across residential design, sustainability, compliance and post-construction testing. This deal represents Phenna Group's 7th acquisition of 2026.
About ENX
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Dublin, ENX works exclusively within the residential housing and apartment sector across Ireland. The business has established a strong reputation with Tier 1 customers, underpinned by an experienced management team and with deep technical expertise.
ENX provides a comprehensive suite of services, including residential MEP design, sustainability and energy services, site inspection, and planning and compliance support. Its core M&E services are now a requirement for large residential schemes in Ireland, positioning ENX at the earliest stages of the project lifecycle and creating strong pipeline visibility for follow-on services.
Kieran Morley, Director of ENX, said: 'Since founding ENX , our focus has been on delivering high-quality, practical MEP solutions for the residential sector, supported by strong client relationships and a committed team. Partnering with Phenna Group and BET gives us the opportunity to build on that foundation, expand our service offering and create even greater value for our clients, while continuing to operate with the same culture and focus that has driven our success to date.'
Brian Shannon, Divisional Managing Director, Built Environment at Phenna Group, said: 'ENX is a strong strategic fit for our Built Environment division. Their expertise in residential MEP design brings valuable capability at the earliest stages of the project lifecycle, strengthening BET's sustainability and design offering and creating a clear pipeline into our wider testing, inspection and certification services. We are excited to welcome the ENX team and to work together to deliver even greater value for clients across the Irish residential market.'
Phil Marshall, CEO of Phenna Group, added: 'ENX is a highly complementary addition to our Built Environment Division. Their expertise in residential MEP design strengthens BET's sustainability and early-stage design capabilities, while creating clear opportunities to support clients through the full project lifecycle, from design through to on-site testing, inspection and certification. This acquisition enhances our position in the Irish residential market and supports our broader strategy of building integrated, end-to-end service offerings across the built environment.'
By combining ENX's early design-stage involvement with BET's established post-construction testing services, including acoustics, air tightness and ventilation validation, the group is well positioned to deliver greater scale, depth and continuity of service to residential developers and Tier 1 clients across Ireland.
