The role

Cansford Laboratories is looking for a Commercial Support Manager to strengthen how our commercial function performs. This is an outward-facing commercial role rather than an administrative one: you will own bids, tenders and procurement portals, drive growth in the Social Services sector, and run the pricing, CRM, forecasting and reporting processes that help the sales team perform consistently.

Working closely with the Head of Sales, you will be the person who brings structure and insight to the commercial engine while helping win business directly.

What you'll be doing

•      Identify and pursue relevant bids, tenders, frameworks and procurement portals, owning them through submission and outcome

•      Run the tender process for strategic opportunities originated by the wider sales team

•      Develop and deliver the Social Services growth plan, including target organisations, procurement routes and renewals

•      Own the pricing governance process and annual pricing review, coordinating Marketing and Finance input

•      Own CRM governance, data quality and commercial reporting

•      Run the sales forecasting process and consolidated reporting

•      Lead win/loss reviews and commercial process improvements

•      Manage key commercial partnerships and award submissions, and support training and commercial events

What you'll bring

•      Demonstrable experience owning bids or tenders with responsibility for the commercial outcome, not just the administration

•      Strong commercial judgement, excellent bid writing and the ability to pull together cross-functional input to deadline

•      Strong CRM, reporting and data-quality discipline, with the ability to turn data into practical insight

•      The ability to understand technical services and translate them into clear commercial submissions

•      A highly organised, analytical and persistent approach, comfortable challenging data and process

It would be great if you also have:

•      Public-sector procurement, frameworks, Social Services or regulated-sector tendering

•      Experience of strategic pricing, retenders, commercial excellence or sales operations

•      HubSpot, dashboard or BI tools and portal management

•      Toxicology, laboratory services, legal or social care market experience

•      Training, facilitation or event support experience
