Headquartered in Nottingham, UK, Phenna Group’s aim is to invest in and partner with selected niche, independent Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) companies that serve a variety of sectors, ensuring customers’ peace of mind by delivering first class assurance services. This is the ninth acquisition made since Phenna Group was formed and represents it’s third deal in 2020.

Code A Weld is a long-established niche welder/welding test & certification support business, complimented by a laboratory and NDT service provision (both in-house and on-site) and services a wide range of end markets including nuclear, renewable energy, O&G, aerospace, rail automotive and construction sectors. The business is accredited by UKAS as a testing laboratory (ISO/IEC 17025), an inspection body (ISO/IEC 17020), and a non-destructive testing (NDT) service provider.

Services include:

  • Welding Procedures & Qualification Testing – for welds, welding procedures and welder certification
  • Non Destructive Testing for weldments and metallic materials (on site and in-house)
  • Mechanical Testing for weldments and metallic materials

David Millington, Managing Director of Code A Weld, will continue in his current role alongside the company’s very experienced management team and highly skilled and qualified workforce.
