We are delighted to announce that Phenna Group has acquired a majority stake in Sigma Tre Lab, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited metallic materials testing laboratory headquartered near Milan, in the province of Lecco, Italy. Sigma Tre, our 4th acquisition of 2026, will join our Industrials Division and become an important part of Phenna Group's European growth strategy, enhancing the Group's specialist materials testing offering and supporting continued expansion across the region.
About Sigma Tre
Founded in 1982, Sigma Tre is an independent metallic materials testing and quality control laboratory supporting organisations across a wide range of industrial sectors. The business works closely with clients to support the selection of appropriate materials, undertake testing programmes to verify mechanical, chemical, and non-destructive characteristics, and support the identification of defects and performance issues in critical components.
Their highly qualified team is supported by advanced testing equipment and specialist instrumentation, as well as an in-house workshop for sample preparation.
