Lead React Web Developer – XAIS-PTS

Location: Remote

Salary: £45,000–£60,000 per annum

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 per week

Holiday: 25 days

About Us:XAIS-PTS delivers innovative asset management software and infrastructure surveys for highway managers. We specialize in collecting field data, providing advanced analytics, and offering expert advisory services.

Role Overview:We are seeking a Lead React Web Developer to guide our web development portfolio. You will design and maintain responsive web applications that handle complex geographic data for asset management, and provide leadership and technical direction to ensure high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain responsive single-page applications using React & TypeScript.
  • Lead development of web frameworks and guide junior developers.
  • Build interactive mapping interfaces and geospatial visualization tools.
  • Integrate with APIs and web services, ensuring secure authentication and authorization.
  • Monitor application performance and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature delivery and user experience optimization.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience developing web applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
  • RESTful API, GraphQL, JWT/authentication experience.
  • Git and CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

  • GIS, geoJSON, ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
  • Spatial data handling and analysis.
  • Experience with Figma, UE5, 3D modeling, or PowerBI/Tableau.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, SQL optimization, and whole-life costing analysis.
