UKPMS Surveyor – Field-Based Role

Location: South of Leicester (Field-Based & Remote) | Office base: DoncasterSalary: £25,397- £28,000 (Based on Experience), with bonus system, based quality of and productivity.Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentHours: 40 Hours per week

We are looking for a UKPMS Surveyor to join our Visual Surveys Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in pavement and road infrastructure assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct UKPMS (United Kingdom Pavement Management System) surveys to assess pavement and road conditions.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret pavement condition data using UKPMS methodologies and software.
  • Ensure compliance with national standards and guidelines in all survey activities.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate survey data into the XA decision support tool and other asset management systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of survey activities, data, and findings.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, UKPMS technologies, and best practices in pavement evaluation.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance UKPMS knowledge and software skills.
  • Ensure health & safety standards are met during all survey operations.
  • Be flexible to work extended hours and weekends when required.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

✔ GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above).✔ Ability to work to schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.✔ Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.✔ Ability to read and understand maps for survey activities.✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).✔ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.✔ Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.✔ Full UK Driving License (Category B) with 6 points or less (if under 25, access to own vehicle required).✔ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.✔ Willingness to learn and participate in training to enhance technical knowledge.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in pavement condition surveys or similar roles.
  • Understanding of UKPMS methodologies and software.
  • Experience with advanced pavement evaluation technologies.
  • Familiarity with asset management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of pavement construction and maintenance techniques.
