Role Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on, senior Engineer to perform and lead compliance testing, inspections and certification activities across a wide range of products and standards. You’ll manage customer products from enquiry to completion, provide regulatory advice, write and review reports including acting as an Authorised Signatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, review and approve test plans, methods and reports as a NATA signatory
- Provide expert guidance across testing standards, equipment and methodologies
- Provide customers with regulatory compliance advice across EMC, EMR, Radio, Safety and product approvals
- Ensure all work complies with ISO/IEC 17025 and internal procedures
- Liaise with clients to clarify requirements and manage their projects end-to-end
- Prepare quotations and tenders with support from technical specialists
- Collaborate with internal SMEs across EMC, EMR, Radio, MIL-STD and Safety
- Maintain strong safety, documentation and equipment calibration standards
- Lead, coach and develop engineers and technicians
Essential Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Physics, Electronics, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in product compliance design or testing
- Knowledge of EMC, safety and electrical product compliance standards
- Demonstrated experience supervising a technical team
- Ability to develop technical documentation, including test plans and reports
- Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and NATA accreditation requirements
- Excellent communication and customer-engagement skills
- High level of organisational and problem-solving ability
- Capability to act as an Authorised Signatory or similar technical authority
