Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician

Location: – Based in Bristol (Travel Required)

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 - Competitive, Dependent on Experience

Code A Weld is an independent UK-based company specializing in Welding Procedure and Welder Qualification Testing, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and Mechanical Testing. With UKAS accreditation and a highly skilled team, we are committed to delivering excellence in testing services.

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated NDT Technician to join our growing team. This role involves conducting in-house and on-site NDT inspections on weldments and metallic materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on welds and metallic materials using industry-approved methods.
  • Conduct in-house and on-site inspections at client locations.
  • Ensure all testing procedures comply with UKAS standards and industry regulations.
  • Produce detailed reports on inspection findings with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within the team to deliver high-quality services.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing clear communication on inspection results.

Essential Requirements:

  • ✔ Right to work in the UK
  • ✔ Commutable to Bristol or Manchester
  • ✔ Minimum PCN Level 2 (ISO 9712) certification in Visual Inspection (VI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI)
  • ✔ Full UK Driving Licence
  • ✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation

Desirable Skills & Certifications:

  • PCN Level 2 (ISO 9712) certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
  • CSWIP 3.1 certification
  • Experience in Quality Control and Corrosion Inspection
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities
