Role Overview:

As Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of identifying new business opportunities, growth and retention of existing customer accounts and positioning EMC Technologies as the partner of choice for compliance and testing services.

 

You’ll work closely with our technical and operations teams to ensure customer needs are translated into commercially sound, customer-focussed solutions. This hands-on role is well matched with someone who enjoys building relationships, developing strategy, and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, customers, and industry segments
  • Manage and grow key customer accounts, building long-term strategic partnerships
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for customers, from initial enquiry through to contract award
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotes, and service offerings in collaboration with technical teams
  • Work closely with site managers and engineers to ensure solutions meet customer, regulatory, and commercial requirements
  • Maintain a strong understanding of EMC Technologies’ service capabilities, capacity, and accreditation scope
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools
  • Represent EMC Technologies at industry events, customer meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support service development and continuous improvement

Essential Requirements:

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management within a B2B environment
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue and growth targets
  • Strong customer-facing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical services in a commercial context
  • Experience preparing proposals, quotes, and commercial agreements
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Highly regarded:

  • Experience in testingcertification, engineering services, or a technical B2B environment
  • Understanding of product complianceEMC, safety, or regulatory testing
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
  • Background in strategic account management or solution selling
