Business Development Manager

Package: £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Company Car

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and contribute to our growth plans

Stroma Built Environment Ltd is a market-leader in building compliance, environmental and sustainability services. We provide services throughout the construction lifecycle, from the initial design stages, right through to the completion and operation of built assets.

Territory: Midlands

What you will be doing?

Reporting into the Commercial Director you will be targeting between Mansfield and Oxford, with an aim to develop long term relationships with customers. You will need to develop new business opportunities and drive sales through market research, networking events and client meetings before reporting back with clear monthly management reports.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creating new business opportunities, setting up meetings and developing relationships with new clients
  • Assessing possible framework opportunities
  • Attending relevant networking events
  • Planning and preparing presentations/CPD’s and client seminars to communicate new service lines
  • Collaborate with internal sales executives to find potential target clients and inform the sales teams of new Key accounts, managing an effective handover
  • Keep abreast of industry developments to identify possible opportunities
  • Providing management with feedback, report trends and provide timely call reports
  • Work closely with and/or line manage a telesales advisor to ensure your pipeline is fed.

What you will need…

  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal as well as able to write reports
  • Strong IT skills particularly around the Microsoft suite and data analysis
  • An understanding of the construction buying process is preferred.
  • Proven sales track record, either face to face or by telephone
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • Valid driving licence
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and business opportunities.
